Ubuntu 8.10 which is one of the most popular download in Linux distribution, is just around the corner with many new features like Firefox 3, new Linux kernel and a brand new theme. It will be officially to be released on October 30, 2008 (less than a week from now) but you can start ordering the CDs now with Ubuntu’s ShipIt service.
This is a good alternative to those who don’t have a broadband connection. The pre-order is available in two editions; Ubuntu Server Edition and Ubuntu Desktop Edition.
