I started to learn about the power of Adobe AIR tool when I noticed more and more web applications are brought onto our desktop. One of the application that I used the most is the GMDesk which allows you to run Google services from your desktop.
Recently I was badly bombarded with spams (at my other blog) and with the implementation of math spam protection, the rate of bombardment eases off. While looking of better spam protection I came across this useful Adobe Air application, Moderator, which will let you to monitor and moderate comments on your WordPress powered blogs right from your dekstop in real time. The good thing abou this application is you don't have to login into your dashboard to approve or unapprove comments.
Here are some of the features
- View unmoderated comments
- Accept, delete, and spam comments from our desktop
- System tray notifications of the number of unmoderated comments.
- Shows Gravatar icon of user who posted the comment

Don't worry about the upcoming WordPress 2.7 because Moderator is built to suit with the latest WordPress. In order to run this application you only need to have WordPress 2.6+ and Adobe AIR 1.1.
