Split YouTube Videos into Smaller Sections with TubeChop

Cutting a video into a smaller clip is not really something you would like to endure. Installing special software on your computer, load original video, select from a variety of options and hope things turn out to be OK. Well at least, this is not the problem when we talk about trimming Youtube video.

Tubechop trims a YouTube video into desired clips by going through a simple process. First you need to select video you want to trim. Once the video is selected, click the ‘Chop’ button. You can select the clip you want by dragging the two black sliders that appear under the video to set the desired start and end times.

What's next? Sit back and let TubeChop does its job. Once finished, your desired video will appear with its own link. You even get an embed code so you can share the video on your blog or website.

TubeChop is easy-to-use and you don't have to fill up any registration to use the service. Best of all, it is a web-based service, so no hassle of installing software on your computer. Unfortunately it only works with YouTube at least for the time being. I hope to see TubeChop is capable to chop more videos from other video streaming sites in the future.

Auto Translate Now Available For Videos With Captions

Youtube has been undergoing constant improvement with several features being introduced to users from time to time. After introducing captions and subtitles in August to help uploaders reach wider audience, now "auto-translate" feature is added to further improve the subtitles and captions feature.

While we've been working to offer captions in as many different languages as possible, there are often only a few translated versions available. To solve this problem, we added a new "auto translate" feature. Google Translate adds real-time machine translation to any caption tracks you upload. Now you can enjoy this video spoken in Italian, even if you don't understand Italian.

In order to get a translation for your preferred language, simply move your mouse over the bottom-right arrow, and then over the small triangle next to the CC (or subtitle) icon, to see the captions menu. Click on the "Translate..." button and then you will be given a choice of many different languages.

The translation does not deliver perfect translation but it will definitely help creators to offer users a better understanding of their videos.

When Google decided to acquire Youtube for the price tag of USD 2 billion few years ago, they have already laid out a master plan on what they are going to transform the Youtube into. While several major improvements were done and are going on, they are extremely cautious in implementing the changes so that it doesn't appear on the Youtubers' eyes, a ruthless big corporate company is obtrusively making move to maximize profits out of Youtube. Well they manage to that well and that's explained by the Alexa ranking.

What now? YouTube is no longer a place for only watching videos and listening to talented musicians. Well, next time you’re listening to a song or watching a video and decide to buy them, you may be able to that. Yes, YouTube has already begun providing iTunes links and Amazon online store for that purpose.

This feature, however, is not limited to music and video only. If you just watch a mind blowing video games trailer and decide to buy it a link to buy the game will be available to fulfill your wishful thinking.

It is worth to note that, as of now, download links are only available for content uploaded directly by companies like EMI and is currently available for the United States region but this is to change soon.
