What could be more devastating when you come back from a long sweet vacation to find that every single high resolution picture you snapped just disappears out of thin air? This incident could happen regardless of preventive actions taken to prevent this thing from happening. When everything seems to be shattered and bleak, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery is an excellent tool purposely built to help you to recover all your lost images of beloved ones or pictures you took when you traveled. This freeware does not require lot of setups but it covers lot of possible damages. This includes recover accidentally formatted digital camera memory cards and corrupt images.

3 steps to recover your pictures

1. Selecting your Memory Card as Windows Drive

Plug in your camera so that it can be recognized as a drive in windows. If it doesn't show up in your windows try to unplug and plug in again. If the problem persists take out your memory card off your camera and plug it into your memory reader. Once detected you can select it from the drop down list.

Select extension associated to your camera images. If you have no idea of what extension would be, simply select all extension. Bear in mind, it will time to recover your deleted or lost images.

3. Select target folder

It is advisable to create different folder so that you are not confused with other pictures. The progress count allows you to know how many images that have been recovered as it continues to find more.

That’s all. Please note, there is, however, several occurrences where few of the images cannot be recovered.

I was quite impressed when I first saw the sidebar primarily due to the fact that it is a built in function in Vista with a lot of cool things that can be thrown into it though by default it only comes with a calendar, an analogue clock and pictures slide show. I gradually I realized I'm not the type of guy who love to decor his own desktop. Simplicity is all I care after all. If you find the sidebar is of no use, you can simply turn it off and remove it permanently.

1. First you need to right-click inside the sidebar area and click on "properties".

2. In the properties options, uncheck “Start Sidebar when Windows Starts” option. This will effectively disable the sidebar from loading when Windows starts afterwards.

3. Finally you need to right click on the sidebar and click on the "Close Sidebar" option.

You are done!

Yeah I know people can easily figure this out but for Vista newbies, they can easily be overwhelmed by a lot of new features in Vista. Anyway I hope you find this to be useful.
